Obama Romney Town brawl

As we await the 2nd presidential election debate tonight in Hempstead, New York,  I want to post a facebook discussions and almost down right insults i had from my friends who support Obama.

In response to a post by M that Biden was pounding Ryan i said the following

Yomi lawal- " Hehehe, now who pounded who? Obamas policies have fatal flaws even though if it appeals to many! He can debate them from now to kingdom come and he would always lose those debates, its like staying in an indefensible position during a battle, u don't fight harder, u simply get a better position! Just bcoz obama doesn't understand au there can b tax breaks without tax raises on a certain class doesn't mean its impossible na, anyways, 2 more debates abi, hehehe"

and my obviously pissed off guy said "Which policies have flaws Yomi? If you dont have specifics pls focus on GEJ's policies which affect you more!"

that was nothing more than a veiled insult hehehe, but I have a thick skin when it comes to making my point or exposing what i believe to be the truth.

Below is the rest of the posts on FB

Yomi Lawal " Best recent case, D death of d US ambassador. U can trace d root cause back to obama's foreign policy, if he hadn't blatantly ignored isreal I continue to assert d CIA wld av been warned by MOSSAD. Never in history

ALUU Slain, Adieu but Rest Not In peace!

It was with Horror that i watched the handiwork of the Aluu community in Rivers state. I could only watch it once and i still cant get the brutality of it out of my head.
Those boys were so tired from the beatings that all they could do was lay back with the

How to talk yourself out of the White house

How to talk your way out of the White house!

"Yes we can!", but now he can't. I won't pretend to be an Obama fan; my friends know how much I dislike his policies and his politics.
For the first time however, yesterday, he disappointed me with his appalling performance

Living forever!

Immortality

This is something I have been pondering for years. Why do living things die? Why do people die? Why do we age? Is it possible to live forever? What tells our cells to die or tells the heart to stop beating?
Is that we have a specified number of heart beats and we die once those numbers are up? Or do we die because we have unconsciously programmed our mind to "know" that we can't live forever?

Many questions heh?
But here are my thoughts and I do welcome yours, it would be nice to live forever don't you think?

Lagos - State of coma

Too many laws in one state and we have  a state of coma!

My sister had a friend whom during a discussion was told that another friend of theirs was in a state of coma and he asked with all seriousness "which country is the state in?" Hehehe, ignorance at its highest order or is it just zero grasp of English language?

Well, it seems that state of coma is in Nigeria, look no further than Lagos state hehehe!

Lagos state is being legislated into a state of coma by the half literate state assembly bent on implementing all the laws they have seen in different states of the different countries they have travelled to using the tax payers hard earned money for 'estacode' (naija english no go kill me! hehehe) and flight tickets.

I believe that in those countries, their governments sat down and brainstormed on how to solve their local problem, took into account that those laws don't violate human rights and fulfilled their own social contract before coming up with such laws.

The funny thing is that the only laws our state assembly copy are those that require payment of fines by the violators and from the huge fines in relation to the minimum wage of 18000 naira, it seems they were too tired or just not mathematics savvy to prorate the fines in those countries to match our own minimum wage, so the fine of not beautifying your house is 250,000 naira, very stupidly funny isn't it?

And what is with the hefty fines tied to those funky laws? Seems more like they need more money after selling Lagos state to internal (I didn't mention acn o) and external companies in the name of PPP or BOT or whatever name they choose to call their vehicle for illegal taxation.

Guess they need to change their Prados (way to go Toyota)  and build more houses in estates like magodo and co where they disposed land owners of their lands through the land use act that pertinently needed to be enforced hehehe!

I took my time to carry out a little research on similar stupid laws in other countries and discovered that illiteracy is not peculiar to State of Coma assembly alone, hehehe, see the following links for such crazy laws. http://www.buzzle.com/articles/crazy-laws.html

And for the state of coma lawmakers go here http://www.strangestlaws.com you can go copy more laws from there, save the travel money for sensible things.

The difference between those places and Lagos is that the stupid laws are not all in one state. In fact they seem to exist in what you will call local government areas.
but the State of Coma lawmakers are so lazy they have simply copied and pasted so many laws (I hope they changed the names, won't be surprised to see "denver" or "delaware") that lagos would surely soon go into a law induced coma hehehe;

I won't also be surprised if they wake up tomorrow and come up with an alcohol induced law that its now a crime to insult the house members! Hehehe or where do such inspirations come from? it is unlawful for livestock to cross the road but if i hit an animal on the road i have to wait by it else i would be guilty of killing livestock that were not supposed to cross the roads hehehe!

Eko oni baje o!

Please what happened to the Latsma officials that committed perjury against that woman they tried to hang a murder charge on? Promoted I guess hehehe

And for those people lauding the ass of traffic laws, google "freedom" and "democracy" then repeat after me "I deserve neither", hehehe

Expect the "don't breathe whilst walking law soon"

Time travel

A new week and the cycle of life continues. Busy weekend for me and a hiatus from the computer, hehehe, after four eyes what else?

I have always craved the ability to tell what's in the future, to see what is about to happen long before it starts. I'm still working on it for I believe like Einstein did that all of space and all of time is right here right now!, we are just moving through the time, the future already exists and affects the present as much as the past affects the present.

Lets assume we have the capability to travel very far, millions of light years away from earth and look back and get the 'God' view (similar to the way we look at ants crawling on the floor), to an ant, it takes ages or time moving from point A to point B, but to we humans who have an expansive view of all where the ants can go, we are effectively seeing its past present and future all at the same time; hehehe
Now dont argue, how else did people like Isaiah, Daniel, John and of recent Nostradamus peer into the future? It is because they had the ability to travel through time.

below is my theory on time travel as at 2010, hehehe, enjoy it!

Time travel.

Its a thing we've been doing as human since the begining of time itself and i postulate it exists in three phases.

On Gov Sanusi versus Baba OBJ's no to 5000naira

Baba OBJ is a bad economist according to CBN Gov Lamido Sanusi because baba opposed the planned introduction of the 5000 naira note.

Now from a simple analysis of gov lamido's statement, that statement is contradictory!
He said former Baba OBJ (since Mallam Lamido called him an uncle) introduced the
highest domination as president and that inflation went down during the period; doesn't that make Baba OBJ a good economist?

Also Broda Lamido Sanusi is indirectly saying that he is a good economist; I wonder why! Is it because he is the CBN governor?

Love Unconditional by Jango

I woke up to something beautiful today and it was a masterpiece by my long time friend whom we affectionately call Jango; we have variations of that name that spreads to infinity like Jangoking, Jangoweb, etc, all variations borne out of our daily discussions on various issues.
It was with happiness that we received the news that he would be coming home to naija by next week, time to see, jawjaw and if possible punch him in the stomach (he beat me up when we were in Junior secondary school, hehehe, Jangofight!), apart from being an astute entrepreneur (Jangobiz) and a SAP guru he has another passion reading and writing (Jangowrite!), enjoy this piece from one of the soundest minds I have ever met.

LOVE UNCONDITIONAL

I first heard about you in my toddler years
All around me wouldn't stop to talk about you
Your beauty, your warmth, your fabulousity and how interesting you are
These were the words they describe you with
I did think it was all exaggeration
I thought you could be as beautiful as they proclaimed
But I did long to meet you and find out for myself
To see what is extraordinary about you
To see what makes you different from others

14 whole years I waited
Yes it took 14 year to finally find you
To meet you for the very first time
I waited 14 years to see what you looked like

I heard a lot about you
Thought a lot about you
But didn't say much about you
And then the day came
The day I finally found you
Nothing could have prepared me
All those things they said about you
All those beautiful comments about you
They were not right
They said you were beautiful, they lied
Because you were more than beautiful
They said you were warm, they lied
Because you were more than warm
They said you were fabulous, they lied
Because you were more than fabulous
They said you were interesting, they lied
Because you 'interesting' underestimates you

When I eventually set my eyes on you
I stood still in awe
Amazed, speechless and dazed by your beauty
It was love at first sight
You were too good to true
You were like heaven
You were more than wonderful
You were so incredible
I wanted to explore you
I wanted to devour you
I wanted to the discover the sweetness you possess
I wanted to be lost in your embrace
I wanted to run my hands all over you

23 years have gone bye
And I still love you
I love you like the first time
Wrong, I take that back
I love you more than even the first time

I know I haven't been there to see you a lot of times
Especially in the last 10 years
But there's no time I don't think of you
I miss you all the time

I know of your pains
I know of your sleeplessness at all nights
I know of your abuse by many
I know many have raped you times over
Some openly wee on you while some shit on you
Some literarilly gather the dirts from their homes and throw it at you
I know many have been ungrateful to you
But you still accommodate them in your big heart
But never will I forsake you
Never will I mock you like they always do
Never will I speak ill of you like they do

I have been through many, very many
But no other compares to you
None other give me that nostalgic feeling
No other gets my love like you do
And I'll always love you too
You'll always be my numero uno

As I packed my baggage tonight to come see you
My heart beat faster for the joy of seeing you again
My heart longs to feel your magic
Your breath of fresh air
Knowing that you will embrace like you always do though I've been away for so long from you
That you won't shut your doors on me
That you will love me like the first time
And like each of those subsequent times you loved me
My love for you will never end
See you in the morning, dear Lagos
My city of aquatic splendour.

Andy Murray makes history!

And the scot andy Murray adds his dream feather to his cap by winning a gruelling grand slam final match against Polar Bear's favourite player Djokovic.
I learnt one more lesson from both players, you are not done till its over! Both guys gave it their best and we watched a thrilling and tensed game with an ecstatic audience cheering them on!

Congratulation Andy (make I form familiarity) hehehe

For Nigeria

Call to duty!
To sit on the fence and feign ignorance,
To look at the cup and judge an ocean,
To bask under the lamp, pretending its the sun,
All don't change the fact that a burning house is inhabitable!

In search of land the queen came armed with guns and gospel.
Thus a babeldom was forced to live as one!
Each keeping her dagger each her swords,
A treaty is no glue, amalgamation not binding beyond the paper!

Set in 60 and decided in 63,
Born a freedom and wealth a people,
Ground nut fueled the vision and power the mission.
Until the gold came and destroyed the black nation!

Invasive as cancer the gnats took root,
Sucking and gorging, the festering began.
The fathers wasted, breeding imbeciles,

Forbidden

Forbidden

For you Ella, not for me nor you!
To say it, is sacrilegious enough, so what do I do?
Say it yet I will, discern when I do; you have!
In a twinkle is reflection, in this instant; just pure bliss!
Touch me not, for it could be one too many!

Desire, good but this time dangerous!
Like the dance of the birds, waving and purring!
When the thought of you dominates,
And hearing you speak makes me ruminate,

Serena, polar bear and flo

I'm not an ardent tennis fan, only started watching the game just to get something to discuss with Polar bear and Flo :), both of them like to believe they played lawn tennis when we were in high school, funny thing is I can only recollect them playing the game we call 'okolo', where we draw four quadrants in the sand and use the broken wood of our school desks as big bats, and I know they were well whooped hehehe; but since they both have tennis racquets in their car boots now, then its my memory that's fuzzy.
I followed this US Open with interest with my eyes mainly (not manly) on Serena williams, the constant thing that comes to my mind when she serves is "avoid her slap at all costs" hehehe!
I wonder if her feats could be replicated here in nigeria, here is a girl nurtured and brought to stardom by her father and I wonder if I could do same for my kids and my friends for theirs!

Lagos State absurd traffic laws

Letter To the Emperor

Freedom is rarely ever taken away suddenly especially during peace times; they are gradually stripped a right at a time.
A ruler rarely becomes a tyrant immediately he gets on the throne; tyranny creeps in, one act at a time.
The law is not always right because it has no fixed standard; it is dependent on the knowledge available at that time.
So my dear Emperor, to enact and
feel righteous is a risky endeavor that usually ends on the wrong side of history.

When eating whilst on my beast becomes a crime; and drinking a punishable offence, what thence is thy aim my king?
For from a tuber you demanded a fifth and I thus did give. From my chicken you asked for a tenth, yet I still gave!

I shall be sharing my poems here on this blog, i will also be sharing my views on a wide variety of subjects; nothing is out of bound for me and nothing is sacred for me. If I had a say in what my name was to be after i was born, I would have chosen "Adventure"; ask my friends (my enemies too) they know me (to an extent)

Talking about my friends, I will be mentioning them by their nicknames, to get to know them in person then you will have to join us when we hit town! hehehe.

Find below the first poem I will be sharing on this blog; My poems reveal a side of me some people might call 'crazy' but I can assure you that i try to stay sane in whichever reality I find myself.

Enjoy this (i hope you so)

The maze and the labyrinth

Writing and thinking, two similar task yet very different.
One without the other and you end up with rubbish.
The truth we need to hear and that which we need to tell,
Few can handle both, most will crucify me.

Infidelity is way different from promiscuity
One sustains marriage the other as dangerous as HIV,
Its an art as old as time itself, a vice enjoyed in secrecy
I know you hear differently, that’s because you ask different people.

Love and sex, work and play, who wants work when you can play?
The thrill is in the chase, also in breasting the tape!
To kiss and tell, a bad habit; you don't have to tell, we all know!
Now, who wants to love when you can have sex?!

Of she and her, different needs fulfilled, don't be told otherwise!
I swear I love her, and her and her too!
For better for worse, why wait till death do you part?!
The only constant thing in life is change, you wonder why they flock round me?!

Back to the labyrinth and the maze,
There is no difference if you're savvy,
Waiting for the last line?......

The Birth

A land where everyone is King and all are free,

The land of zero's and one's, the land we call cyberspace
