ALUU Slain, Adieu but Rest Not In peace!

It was with Horror that i watched the handiwork of the Aluu community in Rivers state. I could only watch it once and i still cant get the brutality of it out of my head.
Those boys were so tired from the beatings that all they could do was lay back with the
tyres around their neck and look to the heavens; probably praying for a miracle that would save them from the nightmare they were having.
The kinds of prayers we pray when we have absolutely no power nor hope again but still believe in the intervention of the Divine.
(It is disheartening that its only in Nigeria we pray for everything, we pray for power electricity, pray for a safe trip because of the huge gaping holes on the road, we pray when loading credits on our phones and have to speak in tongues when making use of the ATM! In saner societies, the police would have arrived in minutes to take those boys into custody!)

When the decision to douse them with an accelerant was taken by the mob, one of them took a club and started hitting each of them on the head! to stop them from getting up to run when the fire starts I think and i watched as the brains of another human being was spilled not by accident but by the deliberate act of another man (in peace times!)

They were doused and callously set ablaze and more accelerant added.

I couldn't watch it a 2nd time neither could i share the horror, i kept pondering on it however and sadly came to this conclusions;

This is not the first time the Aluu community have been doing this; for them to know they needed to immobilize the boys before setting them ablaze to prevent them from running into the crowd on fire shows they have experience with something like this.

This was the work of a mob with their actions dictated by one charismatic leader which made reason take a back seat in their collective actions.

The question now is who is guilty? The mob, the leader, the boy they came to see, the onlookers, the chiefs, the police or Nigerians?

Before we answer that; have you ever been involved in any Mob action? many of us would be quick to say "no" but as nigerians the answer is mostly "yes"!

We have taken Mob action as justice many times in Nigeria, There are some notable personalities I dislike for that reason because they have led people in Mob action against some other nigerians.

How many times did Mallam Ribadu attempt to met out jungle justice without following the rule of law as EFCC chairman? Prosecuting people based on hearsay with no evidence (not that those people are not guilty but why didn't EFCC with all her powers come up with evidence that would stand up even in a corrupt court?)
The same exact thing our CBN governor did with the likes of Mrs Ibru and co
same thing happened to Mr dimeji bankole, with no evidence, Mrs Farida went after him;

The sad thing was many Nigerians were jeering and supporting those jungle justices! if we port it down to Aluu, then many of us are among those standing around and watching those boys burn to their deaths because in the cases i mentioned, strong evidences were not produced!

One of the questions i asked myself when i saw the video was "where are the laptops and phones they said they stole"? I also reasoned that even if these young men have laptops and phones, how many young men of their age don't have laptops, phones and ipads theses days? and if they would be stealing those laptops, is the Aluu community a computer village or so that high brow that, that would be their staging ground for the robbery?

Now back to my initial question on who is guilty, I believe the Mob leader is the most  guilty, followed by the boy on who's account they came into that community. That boy has blood all over his hands because he knew the truth and didn't say anything to prevent those boys from being killed. The chiefs share in the guilt for they should have known what was happening in their community.

The blood of these four boys; promising souls cut off violently and unjustly in their prime cries out for vengeance and I know they wont let the inhabitants of Orion rest until the blood of the killers have been shed and their souls sent to Hades.

Do not rest in peace until your killers have been punished, I implore you to torment not only your killers but those that would want to stand in the way of Justice for your innocent  blood that was shed without pity.

Rest Not in peace; Tekena Elkanah, Ugonnah Ubuzor, Chiadika Biringa and Llyod Micheal until your deaths have been avenged! Adieu brothers!!
